This course is designed to introduce technical professional designated as Lotus Connections administrators to IBM Lotus Connections 2.0 architecture and deployment planning, and provides hands-on practice with installation, configuration and management of a Lotus Connections environment:

• Installing and configuring foundation technologies needed to support Lotus Connections
• Installing and configuring Lotus Connections features
• Performing administrative tasks to support the environment

This intermediate course is for Lotus Connections administrators who need to plan, deploy and manage Lotus Connections in an enterprise environment.

In order to be successful in this course, you should have:

• strong technical skills in systems architecture, deployment or administration
• understanding of install and administration of WebSphere Application Server.
• Basic skills with the usage of LDAP and SQL
• In addition, it is recommended that students have completed:
• Using Lotus Connections (CN100)
• IBM WebSphere Application Server V6.1 Administration for Windows courses (WP711) (WP721) or have equivalent experience.
• IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator 6.1 Overview courses (TO012) or have equivalent experience.

Experience with configuring database servers, Tivoli Directory Integrator and IBM HTTP Server is helpful but is not required.
