Introduction:
This five-day instructor-led course is intended for developers who are new to the Java programming language. It covers the principles of object-oriented development, the Java (J2SE 1.4) syntax, object creation and key classes and their use. Hands-on exercises that complement the lectures are provided throughout the course. In the exercises, students use IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software V6 as a guide to exploring the Java language.
